Anniston Country Club Round

FORMAT: BEST BALL
On each hole, both players on a team play their own ball until it is holed out. The lowest score of the two players counts as the team’s score on each hole.

BALL POSITION:
Before every shot, a player may lift, clean and place their ball improving their lie, no more than the LENGTH OF A SCORECARD from where their ball came to rest on the previous shot. The player may do this by either placing their ball or moving it with their golf club. A player CANNOT IMPROVE the lie of their ball in a HAZARD. A ball in any hazard must be PLAYED DOWN (as is). At no time can a player improve their ball position by moving it out of a hazard, from rough to fairway, or fringe to green. Once on the green, putts must be made from where the ball came to rest.

TEE BOXES: 

White Tees:  Men 59 Years & Younger

Gold Tees:  Men 60-69 Years Old

Red Tees: 70 Years & Above

SUNDAY:

Championship Flight

Blue Tees:  59 Years & Younger

White Tees:  60-69 Years Old

Gold Tees: 70 Years & Older

NO GIMMES: 

All putts must be holed out.

NO MULLIGANS:

Once a player hits a shot, they are not allowed to replay that shot again, without it counting as another stroke.

NO HANDICAP STROKES:

No strokes are to be subtracted due to a player’s handicap.

SCOREKEEPING:

A team’s scorecard should be kept by the opposing team in their group.

SKINS:

If a team scores lower than the rest of the field on any given hole, a $250 CASH SKIN will be awarded to that team.

CLOSEST-TO-PIN:

The player hitting their tee shot closest to the pin on any PAR 3 and Hole #18 will be awarded $250 CASH.

LONGEST PUTT MADE:

The player making the longest putt on Hole #18 will be awarded $250 CASH.

TIES:

1st Place ties in the Championship Flight will be determined by a sudden death playoff alternating between 16th & 18th holes @ the Anniston Country Club. Ties for 1st Place in the 1st & 2nd Flights will be determined by a sudden death playoff starting with the 1st hole @ ACC and moving to the next. Ties for 2nd, 3rd & 4th Places in the Championship Flights, as well as the 1st & 2nd Flights will be determined by regression of the Anniston Country Club scorecards starting with the LAST 9 HOLES. If still tied, then the LAST 6 HOLES. If still tied, then the LAST 3 HOLES. If still tied, the 18th HOLE. If still tied, go to the FRONT 9 HOLES, then HOLES 4-9, then HOLES 7-9, then HOLE 9.

USGA RULES:

All USGA rules apply to these local rules.

DISQUALIFICATION:

A team will be automatically disqualified from the tournament if either of its players cheat. No exceptions!
