Gadsden Country Club Tournament Rules

Gadsden Country Club Round

FORMAT: SCAMBLE (NOT SCRAMBLE)
On each hole, both players on a team hit from the tee. The team selects the most desirable shot of the two. Both players play their second shot from that spot. From that point forward, it becomes stroke play, with each player playing their own ball until they hole out. The lowest score of the two players counts as the team’s score on that hole.

BALL POSITION:
Both players must play their second shot of each hole within the LENGTH of ONE SCORECARD of the selected shot’s ball position, but no closer to the hole. From that point forward, each player may lift, clean and place their ball improving their lie no more than the LENGTH OF A SCORECARD from where their ball came to rest on the previous shot, EXCEPT IN A HAZARD, where the ball must be PLAYED DOWN (as is). At no time can players improve their ball position by moving it out of a hazard, from rough to fairway, or fringe to green. Once on the green, putts must be made from where the ball came to rest.
